We presently owe over £1.3 million in loans, credit cards and overdrafts. These debts continue to increase, whilst the ability to repay decreases. In Britain, over 5 million people are spending more than they earn.
Over half of individuals rely on their overdraft to plug the gap, and a third of us have nothing left in our accounts at the end of the month.
